Re-evolution of Indian Ethnic Men Fashion

Fashion is such a volatile and ever changing concept. It changes with seasons, regions and sometime without any reason. But it fashion keeps on resurging when it is outdated. Dresses which were in trend today will become obsolete in few months and then the same fashion will returns with a revival. Fashion keeps on changing and returning to its basics. Designers keeps experimenting and inventing new trends. This revival logic of fashion equally fits with Indian Ethnic wears for men and women. In Indian ethnic wears for men that popularly includes Jodhpuri pants, Kurtas, Bandhgalas, Sherwanis and Pathani Salwar Kameez.

Recall the era of 70s, 80s and early 90s when bollywood was actually imitating Hollywood in fashion. Bollywood depiction of society and culture is the evidence of prevailing trends at that time. From 70s to early 90s bollywood was all painted in western culture. Fashion sensitive section of society was imitating bollywood and bollywood trends were more or less inspired from western societies. However in later decades fashion undergoes a holistic change. Suddenly, fashion sensitive emotions seeps down to middle class which was earlier restricted to only upper class of society. Indian middle class was still muddling with emergence of fresh and more alien phenomenon of fashion. Literacy rate was increasing and society is now dominated by population of youths.

Favorable situations and conditions for fashion innovators were perfectly set. Designers reintroduced the Indian ethnic wears with a modern touch and versatility. Indian youth was searching for fresh identity devoid of any stereotype imprint on it. Indian ethnic wears became a rage and sold out fashion within a short span of time. In reintroducing Indian ethnic dresses television mounted with cable connection and internet played a major role. People observed the daily soap operas based on Indian society where they found latest trends and its live demonstration. Indian women who spend most of the time in serving family are more hooked to fashion introduced though television. In Indian society men performs as money making duty and women take cares of the family. As compared to men women are more aware about fashion. Indian Television and Indian women acted as a catalyst in reintroducing not only Indian ethnic women wears but also for men ethnic wears.
